This is written so beautifully. The part where you talked about istikharah relates a lot and just reminds me again to have Tawwakul 🤍

Commenting again to say… praying istikhaara can be scary cause you need to be mentally and emotionally prepared for the outcome… which might not be what you want but what you need 😩 praying we both have the strength to persevere whatever outcome it may be in sha Allah. <3

Wowwww this was the kind of long read I’d enjoy with a cup of tea 🍵 First of all, the retreat sounds like such a great thing - I wish we had something similar in my country. It sounds like a great way to nurture your faith and bring out your iman and deen related conversations and deeds within a community :’) so wholesome! Secondly, I related SO MUCH to the istikhara part!! I feel like I used to be so much better at handling things outside my control, but as I grow older, I think I’m growing more weary of life and changes maybe.. but I need to remind myself that He is the best of Planners and whatever he has destined for me is the best, and that I should be thankful for it. I’ve been thinking on this topic lately so reading about your experience felt comforting :) and all the best with your masters program, it sounds exciting!
